Mauritius: Breathtaking 5-Island & Ile Aux Cerfs Escape

Brilliant Trip! We were picked up from one of the kindest people we have genuinely ever met (Anup) who made us feel so welcome and was clear with his communication on where he would drop us off and pick us up pre/post our trip. He also stopped by his house on our way home and picked up some freshly cooked Diwali treats from his family. Such a lovely touch! The trip itself was so much fun from start to finish. We were fortunate to have a really fun group of people and the captain was creating a great atmosphere. We stopped off at all five islands, had rum, music, snacks and a delicious bbq lunch cooked by the locals. We were fortunate enough to see some Dolphins and Turtles!! And feeding the monkeys whilst heading towards the waterfall was lovely. A great trip and excellent value for money.

Tony boats are the best We got late to reach the place however they were kind enough to give us options so that our money was not wasted. We took the catamaran tour which was very good. The entire day was well spent. The staff ensured to look after us very well. We had alot to eat n drinks were on a roll.

Amazing boat trip with breathtaking scenery and the most turquoise sea we've ever seen! Our captain was great fun and knew all the best spots to stop to see dolphins and giant sea turtles. All of the island stops were great and the bbq lunch on Ile aux cerfs was well organised, delicious and served by super friendly staff. Would highly recommend!

Take with you a pair of water shoes or similar as you will need them. Be prepared to talk with your fellow travellers as it makes the day even more enjoyable.

We had a great day with our guide and boat driver Nelson! He was very friendly, outgoing and informative. He was able to get us a very personal view of the GRSE waterfall. The lunch was delicious and the wait staff even played two guitar songs just for us. The snorkeling was very easy on the "lazy river" and allowed us to simply enjoy the fish and coral. On this adventure we also saw monkeys, a skink and tropicbirds!

If you’re thinking of doing this. Absolutely do!! It’s brilliant. We fed monkeys visited ruined buildings private islands and met some amazing people. We saw turtles and tropical fish. Brilliant day out.

We booked the 5 island speed boat tour by the team of Kamla. She told us about all the things we will visit during the tour and also told us the differences between the tour with the speed boat or the Katamaran. From the start till the end we had a great time and a lot of fun. We got many impressions of Mauritius. Our boat captain and our tour guide Kenny and Georgia were both very friendly and funny. We had so much fun. The tour lasts about 7-8 hours, we were able to see monkeys and also feed them. We also stopped to go snorkeling, it was very interesting and we saw an incredible under water world. On a bay we stopped to drink vanilla rum in the sea with a great view of Mauritius. At the end we also got time to have a bbq on Ile aux Cerfs. The tour only costs 4.000 rps per person (≈ 80€) so it was not expensive at all and every money worth it. We would recommend it 100%. We have nothing bad to say about it except the fact, that at the last stop of the tour (bbq at ile aux cerfs) we had free time of two hours. There was nothing much to do so it would be nice if the stay wasn’t so long. Besides that we have nothing to complain about. Big compliment goes to Kamla for being super friendly and helpful, she answered all our questions and was super nice. Thank you very much for this nice trip.

The 5 island tour was amazing. A driver picked us up from the hotel early in the morning (flic en flac) and drove us to the harbour near il aux cerf. Our tourguide was Joy, a really nice and funny guy who made sure that all of us had fun and felt safe. We then started our speed boat tour. We were the first ones to arrive at il aux cerf, therefore it was really peacefull and quiet. On our way to the other stops we saw a sea turtle, our biggest surprise that day. We had the best music playlist for the whole day - Party Mode was on! Make sure to pack some spare cloths for afterwards, because you will get wet and with the additional wind it will get cold. We would recommend this Tour 100%

It was a pleasant boat trip, and felt almost private since we only shared it with another couple, who stayed at the back of the boat and we barely interacted with them. On the downside, there was quite a long wait at the dock from the moment our taxi transfer dropped us off until the tour actually started. The itinerary includes just three islands—Île aux Phare, Île aux Cerfs, and Île aux Aigrettes for snorkeling—as well as a visit to a shipwreck. Overall, it was a good experience, but the drink refills were limited, and the lunch on the island was very standard (grilled chicken, swordfish, and roasted banana and pineapple). It’s a recommended experience, though perhaps a little pricey for what’s included.

We had a great day out! Our guide (Joy) was knowledgeable, friendly and fun. We were well looked after and we would recommend this trip.
